URLy
Warning is a great way to monitor Usenet (also known to some as
Google Groups). You can be
alerted when any keywords you specify appear.
Here's
how to monitor Usenet:
1.
Download and Install URLy Warning.
2.
Enter the keyword phrase you want to monitor in the form below,
and click Submit.
This opens
a new browser window to Google Groups for your search terms.
3.
Open URLy Warning, and click Add a URL. The Add URL dialog
appears:
The URL and page title are automatically entered for you. Adjust
the "Check every" time as you like.
4.
Click Set Test Range. The Test Range dialog appears:
5.
Enter the word Related into the top field. This makes URLy
Warning only search the portion of the page that is not affected
by advertising.
6.
Click OK to return to the Add URL dialog.
7.
Click OK to save the new watch URL.
Now,
whenever Usenet registers a new post with the terms you've entered,
you'll be notified!
